TFI technology is a magnetic flux technique to detect and characterise narrow axially oriented defects by inducing a circumferential flux path rather than a longitudinal one. This technique is sensitive to defects not normally detected by conventional magnetics, such as narrow axial external corrosion, cracks in long seam welds, gouges, axial notches in dents and large colonies or individual SCC.

The NGKS TFI tool has a proven track record supported by client initiated verification excavations that confirm the initial interpretation and analysis decisions.
