Purpose

The low-frequency locator (LN-01) is a portable device used for the detection and location of in-line inspection vehicles equipped with transmitters generating 22 Hz electro-magnetic signals in above-ground and buried pipelines.

The locator meets all the requirements of the International Explosion Protection Standards.

Brief description

Locator's high sensitivity and narrow pass band combine to allow to detect inspection vehicles even under adverse conditions (industrial noise, frequency 50 Hz, deep buried pipelines etc.) The received signal undergoes sophisticated analogue and digital processing. There is a linear light-emitting diode (LED) indicator for monitoring the level of input signal at front panel of the locator. Thanks to this indicator it can operate not only at night, but in bright sunlight.

Locator operating control (power on/off and sensitivity setting) is accessed with 2 buttons located at the front panel. At 22 Hz oscillations the acoustic signal is set of.

The low-frequency locator is designed specifically for in-line inspection. The locator is custom-designed to operate in explosion hazardous areas and various climatic conditions. The device can operate with both internal active antenna and external antenna. Thanks to the external antenna the locator can work at a distance (up to 10 meters). Low current consumption and low battery indicator allow cell use until full discharge. The locator is powered by common ААА cells (DURACELL, Energizer etc.). A special case for the locator storage and transportation is also available.
